Mother's Day Breakfast

Mother's Day Breakfast

This Mother's Day, treat yourself, or your loved ones, to a breakfast fit for royalty. Making someone feel pampered or treated, including yourself, doesn't necessarily require working hard.

Having nice dinnerware, tableware, and accessories make all the difference. Here I filled our lotus bowl, with some fresh strawberries. It will add that vibrant color to your Mother's Day breakfast. Serve your favorite cappuccino or coffee flavor, in our unique square teacups. To bring a spring feel to the table, I used a green runner, and leaf embroidered napkin from our Garden of Eden collection and filled up our Spring vase with pink tulips. What says Spring more than that!!

For this breakfast, I used the dinner plate from our modern collection. I bought frozen waffles from the grocery's freezer section and just warmed it in the oven. Next, I bought the Reddi whip in the can, and just squirted some mounds of yummy fluffy whip. You can also spoon some yogurt, or ice cream if you prefer. Then, use a selection of fruit that you like and slice thinly. Try to use various colors, for visual appeal. I put some marmalade in the mini pot, to drizzle over everything for that final taste. You can also experiment with granola, or nuts, and sprinkle over it.

Here is a recipe for fabulous homemade waffles:

You Will Need:

2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 3/4 cup milk
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup oil

Instructions:

Beat eggs with a mixer until fluffy. Add the rest of the ingredients and beat until smooth. Heat a waffle iron, spray with cooking spray and pour mixture into the waffle iron. After 2 minutes, turn over. Or use an electric waffle iron and leave in until golden. Serve with desired toppings. Yeilds 10-12 waffles.
