Strawberry Tiramisu

This was one of the recipes our chef prepared for us during our stay in an Italian Villa. (read more..) We wanted to have some dessert, that was easy to prepare, and didn’t need an oven or larger appliances. Our chef decided that this is the perfect recipe to try. It is easy and quick and doesn’t need any major appliances. We even beat the cream mixture just with a fork. We also, just diced the strawberries and mashed them, instead of pureeing. But if you do have access to these appliances you can make them faster and quicker. We loved it, and enjoyed some for breakfast the next day too.




1 pack of tea biscuits

1 pint fresh strawberries

¼ cup sugar

1 egg

½ cup heavy cream

1 cup cream cheese, or soft cheese

1/3 cup sugar


8 individual 4 oz. dessert cups for layering, clear glass is ideal, or one pie pan.

Crush the tea biscuits and put a half inch layer on the bottom. Wash the strawberries, remove the stems, and puree in the food processor, with ¼ cup sugar.

In another bowl beat the heavy cream and sugar, when stiff add the cheese.

Layer the strawberries, over the crushed cookies, and top with the cheese layer. If you have enough of the mixture, you can repeat the layers twice. Garnish with a half of a strawberry.

Refrigerate for a couple of hours to let the flavors blend, and to give it time to set.

Enjoy your delicious and easy dessert.
